Introduction to PDEIS at the 2021 Cyber Security Summit

This was the first public announcement of the Programmatic Distributed Empowerment for Information Security or PDEIS. The talk was given by SecurityStudio's CEO, Evan Francen at the 11th annual Cyber Security Summit on October 25th, 2021. Three key points: 1. Information security isn’t about information or security as much as it is about people. 2. Traditional approaches to information security leave the CISO playing a game they can’t win. 3. PDEIS™ is a (the) method to change the game and put us all in a better position to win. The purpose for PDEIS: Improve information security effectiveness and accountability in complex environments through simplification, collaboration, and resource sharing.
